Global Medical Insurance is a long-term, annually renewable, US- style major medical insurance plan designed to provide worldwide coverage to US expatriates and non-US citizens.

Requirements are, US citizens must leave the US on their effective date and plan to reside abroad for at least six months. Non-US citizens may reside anywhere including their home country, although certain eligibility requirements may apply to non-US citizens permanently residing in the US.
